09 Mar. Kazakhstan ratified the UN Convention to Combat Desertification on July 7, 1997 and in 2005 adopted a National Action Program 2005-2015 as part of its efforts to combat desertification. The launch pads for new types of missiles, assembly workshops, fueling stations, complexes for missiles management and monitoring as well as other facilities and infrastructure were developed. It comprises the provinces of Kyzylorda, South Kazakhstan, and Zhambyl.
