And that is a good thing. So the thing about Javier’s brother was something that I knew while we were doing the pilot.
..More. Created by Blake Crouch, Chad Hodge. Well, except for Letty (Michelle Dockery), who accepted the car keys from the broken hit man when he asked her to leave him, but then added that she’d take him too.

As Rotten Tomatoes described him, "There’s a mystery and complexity to the devilishly alluring hitman," and Botto certainly seems like the perfect fit for the role.

Which is just how she likes it. The series stars Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey as Letty — a con artist who's just been released from prison, only to fall into a dangerous relationship with a man named Javier. But now you can really feel the layers. I can’t say much about what’s going to happen, but I think in this episode, we see that she’s willing to stay when he’s crushed, when he’s really, really down.

There is something mysterious and kind of painful around Javier, and that is to do with this story. Hang out with creator Chad Hodge, Michelle Dockery (Letty), Juan Diego Botto (Javier) and the rest of the cast for lively conversation about what makes Good Behavior so special and why their offset behavior … (Fun fact: Ava is played by Botto’s real life sister Maria Botto, who, like her brother, is a popular actress in Spanish films and TV. 1 Comment. There’s no moral justification for that, but other than that, he appears to be a very nice guy, which is almost impossible. I think one of the interesting things about that scene is that most couples, when they do role-play, it’s about being something fascinating like two detectives, something thrilling. In the same interview with Rotten Tomatoes, he said, "For my character, the challenge was to make the hitman attractive, how to combine the fact that he kills people for money with the fact that he is adorable in other aspects of his life." Is that the “good” in him trying to fight through? Undoubtedly, Botto has been cast for a reason.

There’s this famous story about a French playwright, Jean Genet. Letty and Javier: 'Good Behavior's Hot Couple Comes Clean. He most definitely has the attractive part down. In this week’s episode of Good Behavior, the show producer Chad Hodge calls  “a story about a kind of a Bonnie and Clyde from Bonnie’s point of view,” the tempestuous and uncertain relationship between the show's leads Letty (Michelle Dockery) and Javier (Juan-Diego Botto), could either blow up beyond repair or reach a deeper understanding. So how do you combine those two aspects of his life: what he does for a living and the other aspects of his personality?

It’s something very, very important for the character.

It really helped. As Letty, a thief and addict, plays the role of strait-laced hit man Javier’s girlfriend to his estranged family, she tries to find out as much as she can about his past and why he chose his particular line of work. He couldn’t get Santino back, but Letty still has a shot to be with her boy, and he admires her for not giving up. I think that in his mind, and his moral composition, keeping a family together and letting a young boy have a full life like his younger brother couldn’t have is something very important. So I think we’re starting to see that there’s more than just infatuation, more than just superficial attraction between those two. You know where your character is going to land; you know the whole thing. And that is your real-life sister, Maria Botto, playing Javier’s sister, right?

Playing a character that kills for a living is always going to be challenging, but Botto seems to have embraced this challenge wholeheartedly. I asked [co-creator Chad Hodge], like, a hundred million questions, and I was very, very lucky because he had all the answers and he was willing to share.
This is the hour Good Behavior — and Juan Diego Botto fans — have been waiting for. It seems as if there's going to be a lot more Botto in all of our lives from now on.

It was very, very helpful, because any time I looked at her whenever we say “mom” or “dad,” the whole history is there. Good Behavior marks an important move for the actor into mainstream American television, and Botto seems excited about the opportunity. Good Behavior airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on TNT. Good Behavior is an American drama television series based on the novella series by Blake Crouch. And that was one of the most challenging things to me about Javier when I first read about the character, that he kills people for money. Ileane Rudolph October 26, 2017, 9:00 am.

That was the biggest challenge about Javier, and what I think makes him a very special and unique character.

We spent, like, three days crying nonstop. That episode, it was all in one room, so we did every scene, like, a million times.

When he was 10 years old, he stole something from his aunt, like some coins from her purse, and a family tribunal decided that this boy was a thief. If I see my sister crying, it moves me naturally — I don’t have to do anything to be moved. We learned Javier’s backstory as his family gathered at his sister’s new restaurant, believing that the patriarch was finally ready to welcome Javier back into the fold. And although he may not look familiar to you yet, Juan Diego Botto, who plays Javier on Good Behavior, will be your new favorite crush, and you're going to want to see more of him immediately.

He’s empathetic.

But for them, something thrilling and new is two people who’ve been married for 10 years. We know that Christian (Terry Kinney) is in custody and that the feds think there’s no way he committed that heist on his own. We should be very careful in the definition of “good” regarding this matter, when you take someone else’s life. Did it help having your sister there, or did it somehow make it more challenging? But certainly, what I can say is that Javier has a moral code, and it’s actually a very, very strong one. With Michelle Dockery, Juan Diego Botto, Terry Kinney, Lusia Strus. The series stars Michelle Dockery as Letty Raines, a con artist who becomes involved with a hitman named Javier Pereira, played by Juan Diego Botto. Javier and Letty find their way back to each other, but the man hunting Javier is still at large, so they're both in constant danger. Here’s an exclusive clip of an explosive exchange between Letty and Javier as he prepares dinner for his not so warm and cuddly clan at his sister Ava’s new restaurant.
